MIRPURKHAS, Oct 22: The sound of firecrackers exploding in the night in the town over the past few days is a nuisance people are forced to bear.

Children are using firecrackers openly which are easily available on the eve of Eid.

Youths are seen exploding large firecrackers.

Police are not taking any action against anyone although manufacturing and sale of firecrackers have been completely banned by the Sindh government.

Sources said that some traders have stocked firecrackers and are supplying it to shopkeepers, pushcart owners and vendors before Eid.

A leader of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan, Mufti Mohammad Sharif Saeedi and PML-N leader comrade Abdul Majeed, criticised the open sale of fire crackers in the city and call upon the government to take notice of the matter.
