PAF officer killed

TAXILA, Oct 21: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officer was killed and four cadets were injured in a road accident near Hassanabdal. According to National Highway Police and Pakistan Air force sources a van (JF0481) carrying four cadets from Pakistan Air Force Academy, Risalpur to Rawalpindi when it reached near Gunj Glass Factory on GT road, a truck (Mardan 1002) coming from opposite direction, collided with the van.

As a result, PAF officer Flying Officer Shahid Mehmood Bhatti died on the spot while four cadets, Sohail Ahmed Khan, Hamid Khan, Arslan and Shahid Mehmood injured.

The dead and injured were rushed to Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) hospital Kamara.

The Hassanabdal police registered a case against the driver and started investigations.

The dead body of the deceased officer dispatched to his native town for burial.
