Black Berets beaten

LAHORE, Feb 14: A three goals burst in the third chukker and two goals on handicap earned Borjan a close 6-5  win over Black Berets in the February Cup Polo Thursday.

 Black Berets took a flying start scoring four goals to lead 4-3 at the end of the second chukker.

Borjan struck three goals two through Agha Murtaza and one Munawar Beg to lead 6-4 at the end of the third chukker.

Black Berets managed one goal through Umar Minhas, his third of the match, as the match ended in a close 6-5 victory for Borjan.

For the winners, Agha Murtaza (2), Munawar Beg (1) and Jamal Iftikhar (1) were the scorers.

For the losers, besides Omar Minhas, Arshad and Omar Shahbaz added one goal each.

Four goals by Maula Bakhsh,i ncluding a hat trick helped Nee Punhal to rout Guard Filter 7-4 1/2. Besides Maula Bakhsh, Usman Hayee (2) and Omar Sadiq (1) were the other scorers.

For Guard Filter, Irfan Ali Hyder, Shahzad Aziz and Taimur Malik scored one goal each while one and a half goal were awarded on the handicap.
