KARACHI, Oct 20: Six vessels carrying palm oil, steel and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Conti Esperance, Global Prince, Maersk Arkansas, to unload and load containers, Pearl, to load rice, and Bolan, to unload and load general cargo, were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed on Friday were Hyundai Advance, Y.M. Energy, Al-Jaber-18 and Zhen Hua-18, while Islamabad, Conti Esperance, Aifanourios, Maersk Arkansas are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 73,563 tons comprising 8,357 tons of export cargo, including 1,617 tons of rice and 65,206 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Stolt Avenir, with 4,000 tons of palm oil, Corin Thaikos, Nama Bhum, Jade Trader, with containers, NMT Rose, with general cargo and Delfinaki, with 9,500 tons of steel coils.
