Officials named for Test series

KARACHI, Oct 18: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has nominated three officials for supervising Pakistan-India Test series at home starting in the first week of next month.

The first tie will be played at Islamabad on Nov 6-7 to be followed by second at Lahore on Nov 8-9. Later both the teams will travel to India to play the second leg of series at Chandigarh on Nov 10-11 and Delhi on Nov 12-13.

Arif Qureshi has been named as referee while Shahzad Akhtar Alvi and Asif Akhtar Alvi will officiate as chair umpire.

Meanwhile, Arif and Shahzad will be among technical officials picked for conducting the matches at Doha Asian Games.

Pakistan has retained the same team that lost Asia Oceania Zone one relegation Davis Cup tie against China recently.
