Shan, Zaheer shine

LAHORE, Oct 18: Good batting display by Shan Masood and Zaheer Abbas enabled Karachi Urban reach a respectable total against Faisalabad in the PCB Inter-region Under-19 three-day cricket tournament at Chenab College, Jhang on Wednesday.

Shan struck 55 while Zaheer scored 40 as Karachi scored 252 for nine in 83 overs.

Off-spinner Mohammad Ikram captured four for 28.

Faisalabad, in reply, were 22 for two at stumps.

In another match, a six-wicket haul by Nazar Hussain helped Quetta skittle Multan on 140.

By close of play, Quetta were batting on 77 for two.
