Trader shot at

LAHORE, Oct 18: Two robbers shot at a trader and deprived him of Rs1.2 million in Qila Gujjar Singh here on Wednesday. Khwaja Khawar was on his way in a car after withdrawing cash from a local bank when two gun-totting people on a bike intercepted him near the Police Lines and demanded cash.

They fired two bullets at Mr Khawar and took away cash. He was rushed to the Services Hospital in critical condition.

However, police recovered Rs400,000 in cash from his car, saying the exact loss could not be ascertained.

Two armed people stormed into a shop at Tollinton Market in Shadman and took away Rs200,000 in cash at gunpoint.

Three robbers came to a cell phone shop at a colony in Shalimar and escaped with 17 cell phones, calling cards and cash.
