PESHAWAR Oct 16: Senior officials of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company have been asked to reduce line losses and improve recovery.

This was stated by Chief Executive Pesco Sakhi Marjan at a meeting held in Wapda House Peshawar on Monday. The meeting was held to review performance of different circles of Pesco and their targets, set by the authority to bring decline in line losses and improve recovery.

Chief Engineers Roshan Din and Iqbal Ali Shah and other senior officers were present in the meeting. Besides, all SEs of Peshawar Electric Supply Company attended the meeting and presented reports of performance of their respective circles.

Chief Executive Pesco Brig Sakhi Marjan expressed concern over increase in transmission and distribution losses and poor recovery of some circles. He stressed the need to reduce line losses and improve recovery and achieve the targets set by the authority and directed the SEs to further improve their performance. A number of XENs with poor performance in different circles of Pesco were also called and asked to immediately improveme their respective divisions.

Chief executive Pesco issued special instructions to recover outstanding arrears from defaulters and directed the officials to implement all pending EROs immediately to improve the recovery position.

He expressed his concern over increase in fatal accidents and directed the officials concerned to ensure safety for workers and arrange safety seminars at different levels. He directed them to install capacitors on approved feeders to regulate energy.
