ISLAMABAD, Oct 15: Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was brought here in a small plane from Karachi and put under house arrest at his E-7 residence in the federal capital.

He had been taken to Karachi for prostate cancer surgery at the Aga Khan Hospital in the second week of September and on his own desire remained at his sister’s house in pre- and post-surgery period.

According to sources close to Dr Khan, his doctors at the Aga Khan Hospital were not fully satisfied with the pace of his recovery and desired that he should stay for another fortnight to avoid any post-operative complications.
