Robbers injure four

LAHORE, Oct 15: Robbers injured four people over resistance in the city on Sunday and took away cash and other valuables in several hits.

Two armed robbers intercepted Zaighum Ali, a student at Services Academy, at Main Boulevard in Gulberg and demanded cash and cell phone at gunpoint. When Zaighum put up resistance, the robbers opened fire and took away his cell phone.

Two armed people intercepted Waraq Abbas Shah at Badar Block in Iqbal Town and snatched cash and a cell phone from him. They also injured Mr Shah who was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

Two passers-by were injured when they tried to catch two robbers escaping after looting a house at Almadad Colony in Ravi Road. Injured Saeed Gul and Nadeem were rushed to Mayo Hospital in serious condition.

Four gun-totting men deprived three soap company employees — Asim, Nadeem and Munawar Ali — of Rs400,000 in cash and Rs100,000 in cheque in Shafiqabad.

Unidentified thieves sneaked into a house at Rehmanpura near Bokhari Market in Wahdat Colony and escaped with Rs500,000 in cash and gold.
