Cloth-dyer slain

LAHORE, Oct 12: A cloth-dyer was stabbed to death while his son injured by three shopkeepers over some business dispute in New Anarkali here on Thursday.

Police said Saadat Ali (55) along with his son Shahbaz Hyder (25) went to Naeem’s shop for some business deal at Muqaddas Plaza on Syed Road. After a squabble, accused Naeem, Azeem and Naveed attacked Saadat and Shahbaz with knives, injuring them seriously. They were hastened to the Mayo Hospital where Saadat died while Shahbaz’s condition was stated to be critical.

Both parties are residents of Gulshan-i-Ravi while the murderers’ native town is Faisalabad.

The police have registered a case on the complaint of Irfan Hyder and removed the body to the city morgue for autopsy. —Reporter
