FAISALABAD, Oct 12: The City District Government Faisalabad has simplified the procedure for establishing sale points and changing the location of existing centres for the ease of the under-privileged people.

This was stated by the EDO (Revenue) Muhammad Ali Baloch while talking to the union council secretaries here at the Circuit House on Thursday.

The meeting was apprised that the change in location of sale centres under the Chief Minister’s Food Support Programme would now be made on an application of UC nazim or secretary on the same day.

The distribution of FSP coupons to the deserving persons, setting up and operation of sale centres, supply of food items and other related matters were also discussed in the meeting and the chair stressed the need for the distribution procedures more simplified. The individual working of secretaries was also reviewed on case-to-case basis.

The EDO (Revenue) said that the FSP was playing an important role in helping the poor and the deserving people.

STABBED TO DEATH: An expatriate was stabbed to death on resistance during a dacoity bid in Chak 203-RB in the limits of Nishatabad police station on Thursday.

Police said that Liaquat Hussain and his family, who came from Muscat, were busy in sehri preparation when three masked bandits entered the house. On offering resistance, the intruders stabbed to death Liaquat and also injured his sister Shamim Akhtar. Later, the bandits-cum-murderers managed to escape from the scene.
