MIRPURKHAS, Oct 11: About 8,000 maunds of cotton were reduced to ashes after they in a fire on a godown reportedly caused by short circuit in Mohammed Hashim Bhurgari village of Kot Ghulam Mohammed taluka on Tuesday evening.

Reports reaching here said that fire brigade succeeded in putting out the fire with the help of villagers but only after all the cotton in the godown was gutted.
