Cane price

TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 10: District PPP general secretary Saeed Akhtar has urged the government to fix the sugarcane price equal to the price fixed for Sindh.

In a press statement issued here on Tuesday, he said the Punjab government has fixed Rs60 per 40 kilograms price of sugarcane while Sindh government had fixed Rs68 per 40 kilograms.

He said when sugar price was equal in both the provinces, then why the farmers of Punjab were being given less price.

He also demanded to start sugarcane crushing season from November 1 instead of November 15. — Correspondent
