KARACHI: Illumination planned

KARACHI, Oct 10: The mosques in Hawkesbay and Taisar Town resettlement sites of the Lyari Expressway Resettlement Project will be illuminated on Shab-i-Qadr on the 27th of Ramazan and prayers will be offered for the integrity of the country.

A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the LEW resettlement project here on Tuesday.

In the meeting, it was informed that special attention was being paid on the construction of mosques in these localities and in all 38 mosques were being constructed at three resettlement sites - the third one being Baldia. The Hawkesbay site will have 13, Taisar Town 21 and Baldia site 4 mosques.

It was pointed out that the provision of all basic facilities of life had been ensured at these resettlement sites which included clean and wide roads, water, electricity, gas, installation of street lights, transport, education, health, sport grounds, parks, green belts, vocational centre, shopping centres etc.—APP
