KARACHI, Oct 10: Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman has directed the works and services department to complete the reconstruction and renovation of Tughlaq House and fourth floor of old KDA building at the earliest.

He issued the directive while reviewing the ongoing development works and four-storey car parking in the old State Bank building adjacent to New Sindh Secretariat.

The establishment of offices of implementation and prosecution departments was also reviewed and it was decided that the offices of implementation, criminal prosecution and education departments would be shifted to old State Bank library building soon.

In this regard, the chief secretary directed the finance department to ensure immediate release of funds for ongoing ADP schemes of Sindh Secretariat.

He directed the departments concerned to promote departmental liaison and development works of Sindh Secretariat buildings be completed expeditiously.

He asked the superintending engineer of provincial buildings to maintain contact with the finance department for timely release of funds and work in progress should not be left half-way.

He directed that scheme for four-storey car parking should be submitted within one week along with a presentation about the Sindh Secretariat related development works.
