KARACHI, Oct 6: At least 17 vehicles and 59 cellphones were taken away in various areas of the city on Friday. Police sources said that three cars were snatched at gunpoint and eight cars were reported stolen. Similarly, theft cases of 6 motorcycles were reported.

Police sources said that 25 mobile phones were snatched and 30 were reported stolen while four cellphones were reported missing on Friday.

Meanwhile, police arrested three suspects and recovered 29 cellphones and pistols from their possession in Civil Lines.

SDPO Civil Lines said that initially during snap checking they caught Albert Masih, during interrogation, he disclosed the identity of his two associates Shahid and Arshad Masih. The gang used to carry out cell phone snatchings.
