NAROWAL, Oct 5: The director-general of health, Punjab, has ordered an inquiry into the death of two brothers due to unavailability of anti-venom vaccine at the Narowal DHQ hospital, Mayo and Sir Ganga Ram hospitals in Lahore.
He appointed health services director Dr Sher Gul Khan as inquiry officer who visited Narowal on Thursday to conduct the inquiry.
He recorded the statements of DHQ hospital staff and medical superintendent.
He also visited the family of the victims at Mahar Sharif village and recorded the statements of Muhammad Irshad, the father of minors Asad and Ahsan, and their uncle Muhammad Iqbal. — Correspondent
