RAWALPINDI, Oct 3: Rawalpindi beat Faisalabad by 10 runs to gain four points in the National Inter-Region U-19 Cricket Championship at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Put in to bat after losing the toss, Rawalpindi gathered 223 for eight wickets and then restricted Faisalabad to 213 for nine in the allotted 50 overs.

Opener Omer Amin struck 71 off 96 balls, punctuated with six boundaries while one-down Mohammad Ibrahim was the next-best for Rawalpindi with his 70-ball 35, laced with three fours.

Shoaib Shah got two wickets for 36 For Faisalabad, Muhammad Laiq top scored with a fine 73 off 83 balls laced with four boundaries.

Mohammad Aamir made 30 off 44 balls with four boundaries while Mohammad Ikram contributed 24 runs as off-breaker. Asad Zahid claimed two wickets for 34 runs.
