Kidnapper of boy arrested

LAHORE, Oct 3: Police claimed to have arrested an accused involved in the kidnap of a boy and recovered ransom money from his possession.

SP (Investigation) City Division Babar Sarfraz Alpa said this while talking to APP here on Tuesday.

He said the Capital City Police Chief had given a special task to the investigation city division police to recover abducted boy Bilal Khan, adding that a special team was constituted which arrested accused Naseer of Ghari Shahu.

The accused told the police that he along with two accomplices Mirza Khan and Naeem had abducted Bilal Ali Khan from Yousaf Park, Shahdara and returned the boy after receiving Rs23,00,000 ransom.

ROBBERIES: Robbers strike six times in the city on Tuesday, making off with cash and gold.

Two robbers burst into the house of Shaukat in Shafiqabad, held up the inmates and escaped with valuables worth Rs200,000.

Four robbers stormed into the house of Tanveer Shahazad in Sattukatla and made off with Rs25,000 and jewellery.

Three people forced their entry into the house of Kamran in Sattukatla and took away a gold bracelet and two ear-rings.

Rehmat was deprived of Rs5,000 and a cell phone in Islampura while Wahid was robbed of Rs2000 and a cell phone in Factory Area. —Reporter
