ISLAMABAD, Oct 3: Nearly 6,000 Chinese intending pilgrims, who had gathered a few days ago in front of the Saudi embassy, demanding Haj visas were shifted to Madinatul Hujaj (Haji Camp) near Golra on Tuesday night.
The intending pilgrims who had come from China’s Xinjiang province had been trying to get Haj visas.
Earlier, they had been told that it was not possible for the Saudi authorities to grant them visas from Saudi embassy Islamabad. On Tuesday Saudi and Chinese ambassadors went to them and settled the issue by ensuring them that they would be given Haj visas from Islamabad.
