NAWABSHAH, Oct 2: Hundreds of contractual employees of the Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD) staged a demonstration outside the press club in protest against non-payment of salaries on Monday.

The protesters numbering more than 400 were led by Abdul Wahid Jamali, Ghulam Mohammad, Farooq Ahmed and Niaz Hussain.

They told the newsmen that despite several promises by concerned authorities they had not been regularized since 10 years and had not been paid salaries since two years.

They regretted that the government had no money to pay them salaries but had enough to carry our repairs of tube-wells.
