KARACHI, Sept 28: Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has expressed confidence that his boys will deliver their best in the next month's Champions Trophy despite his absence owing to the ICC ban.

The Pakistani captain said that his four-match suspension would not affect team's performance in the Trophy as one man's absence does not count much in the one-dayers.

“I've full confidence in boys and they'll definitely play well in the prestigious event against the top nations,” Inzamam told a local TV channel from London after the (ICC) verdict.

“I can’t guarantee success but one thing is for sure that the team is a balanced one and will display their best in Champions Trophy.”

“The conditions there (in India) suit our team and we have a great chance of winning the title,” he added.

The Pakistan skipper said that middle-order batsman Younis Khan will be an automatic choice for captaincy and a substitute for himself (Inzamam) will be decided later by the selectors. —Agencies
