TAXILA, Sept 27: Scores of students of a local technical college disrupted traffic on the GT Road here for one hour to protest against the Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) for delaying the Diploma in Associate Engineer results.

The protesting students of the Wah British Institute of Technology (WBIT), carrying placards inscribed with slogans against the board, marched from their college and gathered at Taxila Chowk where they staged a sit-in.

Addressing the participants, the student leaders alleged that officials of the board were resorting to red-tap against some technical colleges of the area.

They said the board was not issuing the result cards of the students who had passed the DAE examination 2006 in various disciplines.

They said their future was at stake as they were not able to get admission to BE and B Tech classes.
