Published September 28, 2006

KARACHI, Sept 27: Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Haroon Farooki has expressed his disappointment on the closure of the visa section at the Swiss Consulate General in Karachi which sends out a very negative message about Karachi.

He questioned the rationale behind the sudden closure at a time when foreigners have openly lauded the improved security and quality of life in Karachi, he said in a statement.

He urged the Sindh government and the ministry of foreign affairs to take up this matter with the Swiss diplomats.
