KARACHI, Sept 26: Sindh IGP Jehangir Mirza on Tuesday transferred SP Driving License Branch, Clifton, Javed Baloch and suspended DSP Tahir Zaidi on charges of corruption.
The IG police instructed SP Javed Ahmed Baloch to report to the CPO and DSP Tahir Hussain to report to the CCPO Karachi, said a press release.
It said the IGP Sindh had received some complaints about hardships being faced by the citizens visiting the DL Branch, Clifton for their license. It said that these officials were issuing licenses through special agents on receiving bribe and without physical test.
Jehangir Mirza paid surprise visit to the branch to review the situation on Tuesday and issued directives for the transfer of SP and suspension of DSP. He also issued directives for holding departmental probe against them.—PPI
