Timings of income tax offices extended

ISLAMABAD, Sept 25: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has extended the timing of all income tax offices to facilitate the taxpayers in filing their tax returns.CBR official spokesperson Habib Fakhrudin on Monday said that for facilitation of the taxpayers the income tax offices would remain open up to 10.00pm on September 29 and till 12.00midnight on September 30, 2006, the last date for filing returns.

All the authorised branches of State Bank of Pakistan and National Bank of Pakistan would also remain open up to 8.00pm on Friday and till 10.00pm on Saturday for depositing income tax.

The spokesman said return forms were available at all the stations.

Complaints, if any, regarding non-availability of return forms may be directed either to the CBR or the Regional Commissioner.
