KARACHI, Sept 25: Five ships carrying containers, chemicals and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a dozen vessels were berthed. They are: Wan Hai-303, Marc Labria, Yang Jiang He, Eric G. Givson, Wester Moor, to unload and unload containers.

They were followed by Danuta, to unload sugar, Iron Butterfly, to unload project cargo, Sargodha, to unload and load general cargo, Getalodic, to offload fertiliser, Lalazar, to unload crude oil, and NCC Riyad, to offload chemicals.

Sailing was also active during the last two days as over a dozen ships departed, notable among them being Iran Kordestan, Maersk Arkansas, Orient Independence, Wan Hai-3093, Yang Jiang He, Marc Labria, Huang Shan, Al-Khaliq, Shipping Land-6, Iron Butterfly, Swat, Oriental Bouguet and AS-1.

Wester Moor, NCC Riyad, Eric G. Gibson, Johar and Lalazar are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 0.247 tons comprising 45,810 tons of export cargo, including 1,737 tons of cement and 0.201m tons of import tonnage, was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Botany Trade Wind, with 9,631 tons of tallow, MRC Coral to load 3,000 tons of ethanol, Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Iran Hesabi and APL Jeddah, with containers.
