LAHORE, Sept 23: Two-goal Bushra Nazir helped Government Women College, Baghbanpura win the Lahore region Inter-collegiate women hockey tournament, beating Kinniard College 3-1 in the final at National Hockey Stadium on Saturday.

The winners led the first half 1-0. Bushra struck in the 25th minute and 46th while Faiza added a goal in the 62nd minute. Summan scored the consolation goal for the losers in the 65th minute.

The winners received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 from NBP while the losers received Rs 5,000.

Bushra was also declared best player of the tournament and honoured with a cash prize of Rs 1,000. Hira of APWA College was declared best goalkeeper and received Rs 1,000. Summan of Kinnard College pocketed Rs 1,000 for being the top scorer of the tournament.
