Enmity claims two lives

GUJRANWALA, Sept 23: Two persons lost their lives while four others sustained injuries in an armed clash between the two rival groups in Rakh Kikran village on Saturday.

Reports said that the Bajwa and Naseer groups had an old enmity. On Saturday, the armed clash ensued between them which resulted in the death of Ashfaq and Mehr. While Zaheer, Amanullah, Bashir and Asif of the Bajwa group suffered bullet wounds. They were rushed to a local hospital.

Ferozewala police have registered a case against both the groups and are investigating.

Shot dead: A powerloom owner was shot dead on resistance during a motorcycle-snatching incident on Garjakh Road on Saturday.

Muhammad Shahid was on his way after buying a new motorcycle when two bike riders intercepted him and tried to snatch his bike. On offering resistance, the culprits opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. — Correspondent
