OKARA, Sept 23: A motorcyclist was run over and killed by a speeding truck here on Saturday at 49/2-L village.

Reports said Muhammad Asghar along with his son Muhammad Saleem was going to the city by his bike (OKC-2738). Near the village a speeding truck (SL-4464) hit the motorcycle and Asghar fell down on the road. In the meantime, a car (LWO-6484) ran over him. He died on the spot.

Police have registered a case.

Hifz-I-Quran CLASS: The board of governors of district public school and college (DPS&C) has decided to start a Hifz-i-Quran class at the institution.

Vice-principal Khadim Husain in a press release issued on Saturday asked parents to contact the school administration by Sept 30 in this regard.
