KARACHI: Guidance about Rozgar scheme

KARACHI, Sept 23: Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman has directed all DCOs in the province to provide right guidance to people regarding government-sponsored Rozgar scheme and the needy one be fully helped in acquiring loans.

He was speaking at the 7th meeting of Steering Committee of Sindh Rural Development Project (SRDP) at his office on Saturday.

In the meeting, emphasis was laid on accelerated measures for provision of loans to farmers under Agriculture Development Bank and PASCO. Chief Secretary called for practical enhancement of credit utilization.

The meeting was informed that SRDP has geared up work for provision of electricity, construction of roads and other basic facilities in 750 villages with the cooperation of BOR and DCOs.

In the first phase, it was pointed out the training to Mukhtiarkars has been completed with the cooperation of BOR while second phase of training for more officers will soon be started.

Decision was taken for departmental cooperation and liaison to institute immediate measures for carrying out survey of rain related damages.—APP
