PESHAWAR, Sept 23: NWFP Additional Chief Secretary Ghulam Dastagir Akhtar has asked government servants to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, sincerity and punctuality as progress of a nation is directly linked to active performance of public servants.

He was addressing concluding ceremony of a training course for superintendents and private secretaries of the Civil Secretariat here at the Staff Training Institute on Saturday.

During the nine-week course the participants were trained in office administration, management and procedure, assembly business, financial discipline, development schemes, devolution plan and ethics of Islam.

The ceremony was also attended by Secretary Establishment Mian Sahib Jan, Secretary Regulation Muhammad Hamayun Jadoon, secretaries of food and zakat, additional secretary planning and development, Director of the institute Muhammad Shoaib and Training Officer Mrs Farzana Jillani.—APP
