ISLAMABAD, Sept 22: The administrator general of Zakat on Friday notified the value of ‘Nisab’ as 612.32 grams of silver for the Zakat year 1426-27 AH, equivalent to Rs12,926.
This ‘Nisab’ will apply to the Federally administered Tribal Areas.
The administrator general has also notified the first Ramazan-ul-Mubarak 1427 AH, September 24th or 25th (subject to the sighting of the moon), as the date for Zakat deduction in respect of saving bank accounts and other similar accounts having a credit balance of Rs12,926 and above.—APP
