PSCB polls

KARACHI, Sept 22: Fawad Ijaz Khan and Ashiq Hussain Qureshi were elected unanimously as the Chairman and Chief Executive of Pakistan Seniors Cricket Board (PSCB) respectively for a three year-terms in the elections held on Thursday night.

PSCB also appointed Col (Retd) Rafi Nasim and Javed Sadiq as the secretary and treasurer of the board.

Two former Pakistan captains as well as Intikhab Alam and Majid Khan, Yawar Saeed, Asad Ali Khan and Farrukh Irfan Khan from Punjab have also been taken on the Board.

From Sindh Fawad Ijaz Khan, Brig (Retd) Salahuddin, former Test paceman Jalaluddin, Iqbal Umer, Alamgir Ahmed and Mir Hyder Ali Talpur were nominated in the board of directors of PSCB.

Cheques amounting to Rs 250,000 were distributed by Sindh Minister for Sports, Qamar Mansoor among five cricketers including Mazhar Qureshi, Shabbir Ahmed, Muhammad Rehan, Fawad Khan and Fahim Qazi.—APP
