Two women shot dead

MARDAN, Sept 15: Two women were shot dead in two areas of Mardan district on Thursday and Friday. In the first incident which took place in the Kohi Barmol village on Thursday night, a man, Jamroz Khan, allegedly shot dead his wife following a domestic dispute and escaped.

The Katlang police registered a case against the accused.

In the second incident, a woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Sawaldher village.

The woman’s husband, Lal Johar, said that she had died accidentally.

But the area people suspected that the woman was shot dead by her husband.

The local police lodged an FIR. Sources said that the police had recovered a pistol and three cartridges.
