LAHORE, Feb 12: The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a bail application of co-accused Tanvir Ahmed Haral in a Rs280 million Emirates Bank fraud case.

The accused stated in the bail application that he was only a relationing officer in the Emirates Bank, Egerton Road, and he had no involvement in the fraud.

The court was informed that the other co-accused in the case including the manager of the Cantt Branch of the bank, Arif Khokhar and main accused Farukh Karamat, son of ex-chief of army staff Jehangir Karamat had already been bailed out.

He prayed the court to declare him innocent and grant him bail.—APP
