EoIs for tomato paste plant invited

ISLAMABAD, Sept 12: The Privatisation Commission (PC) has invited Expressions of Interest (EoIs) for the sale of Tomato Paste and Vegetable Dehydration Plant (machinery and equipment only) from prospective investors.

According to a handout issued here on Tuesday the plant was being offered free of all liabilities and encumbrances on "as is where is basis".

The plant comprises machinery and equipment imported from China in 1996. In has a capacity of producing one ton tomato paste per shift of eight hours. The plant is in unassembled condition and is lying in wooden cartons/crates at NARC, Islamabad.

EoIs must reach the Privatisation Commission by September 30, 2006 along with a non-refundable fee. Prospective bidders/buyers can visit the plant machinery between normal working hours on any working day.
