PCB ad hoc committee moot today

LAHORE, Sept 11: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar M. Khan will be taking the board's ad hoc committee members into confidence over the Oval Test fiasco in an important meeting to be held in Karachi on Tuesday.

The meeting will also approve the new team management for the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

The ad hoc committee, comprising Hanif Mohammad, Imtiaz Ahmed, Moin Afzal, Ali Raza and Nasim Ashraf, is likely to discuss the ways of tackling skipper Inzamam’s hearing with the ICC.

Cricket experts in the country have severely criticized the unprofessional manner in which Pakistan team management and the PCB handled The Oval incident.

Meanwhile, the sources indicated that former Test captain Zaheer Abbas, who was the manager of Pakistan team on the recent England tour, might not retain his post in the forthcoming ICC event since he was found wanting in his ability to tackle the Oval Test fiasco in a proper way.
