Boy killed by fellow students

BAHAWALPUR, Sept 11: Two brothers studying in a seminary near Uch Sharif allegedly killed a fellow student after sodomising him on Sunday Police said Mahboob Ahmed and Muhammed Ayub, both students of a seminary, allegedly sodomised their fellow student Hafiz Abdul Majid and then killed him for the fear of being exposed. The accused threw the body in nearby cotton fields.

Police have registered a case against the accused, who were not yet arrested.

BOOKED: At least 230 persons were booked on corruption charges and for undertaking defective construction work at different places in Punjab recently.

This was stated by minister for chief minister’s inspection team Col Shuja Khanzada (retired) on Monday.

During a Hasilpur TMA briefing, the minister said so far he inspected 325 uplift schemes in the province and defective work was detected at many places.

Corruption cases were registered against 230 persons, he added.
