Three beverage units sealed in Raiwind

KASUR, Sept 11: Police sealed three beverage units for manufacturing substandard soft drinks and recovered thousands of bottles, raw material and machinery in Raiwind Sadar here on Monday.

Police sources said a team, constituted by the DPO, raided three different points in Bachokey and Gheenya villages where soft drinks with contaminated water and substandard raw material were being manufactured.

The police arrested factory owners Rehan, Zordar Khand and Azam and registered a case against them.

LOOTED: A family was deprived of cash, gold ornaments and valuables allegedly by neighbours in Bhulo village, Sadar, on Monday.

Shamim Akhtar alleged that Shabbir came to her house with some sweets. When the family ate these sweets, they all fell unconscious, and the accused took away cash, gold ornaments and valuables.

KIDNAPPED: Shaban was kidnapped allegedly by relative Ramzan and accomplices over the marriage issue here on Monday.

Phoolnagar police are investigating.
