Protest against non-payment of Zakat

SUKKUR, Sept 11: A group of disabled people took out a protest rally and staged a sit-in in front of the Sukkur Press Club on Monday against non-payment of Zakat fund. The disabled people, led by Shahnawaz Kandhro and Mukhtiar Malik, demonstrated while shouting slogans against the government. Talking to newsmen, their leaders alleged that Zakat and Ushr officials were not disbursing Zakat funds to them regularly.—BoC
