Five of a family drown in canal

QUETTA, Sept 9: Five people of a family, including three children, were drowned when a tractor trolley fell into a canal near Dera Allahyar area of the Jaffarabad district on Saturday.

All the victims were going to attend a marriage ceremony, a police officer said.

The officer said that Saifal Khan and his family members were going in a tractor trolley to a nearby village to attend a marriage ceremony, when the trolley skidded off and fell into the canal.

Later the bodies were fished out and handed over to their relatives.

Four of the dead were identified as: Morti Khatoon, Jehan Khan, Wahid Ahmed and Sardar Khan.
