PESHAWAR, Feb 12: Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami, NWFP, Professor Mohammad Ibrahim, has demanded of the government to restart work on Lowari tunnel and honour promises made by the past rulers.

In a press release issued here on Tuesday, the JI provincial chief stressed that it was the responsibility of the government to provide road facility to the 500,000 people of Chitral, who during winter season remained cut off from rest of the country due to heavy snowfall on Lawari top.

He stressed the government to restart work on Lowari tunnel and also give approval for C-130 flights from Peshawar to Chitral.
