No-trust against nazim succeeds

OKARA, Sept 7: The Jabooka (Okara) union council nazim was removed after 10 councillors, including the naib nazim, successfully moved a no-confidence against him on Thursday.

Reports said that Jabooka UC naib nazim Mian Shehzad Buksh Tipu advocate along with Rao Tehsin Ali, Rao Shamshad and Rai Ifrahim Kharl advocate had moved the no-trust motion against nazim Chaudhry Muhammad Akbar a few weeks back. On Thursday, proceedings of no-confidence were conducted under the supervision of additional sessions judge Mian Masood Arshad at Jabooka council office. All 10 members, including four women councillors and the naib nazim, favored the no-confidence against the nazim.
