KASUR, Sept 6: Four people, including a schoolboy and two women, died when a prison van hit a motorcycle and two donkey carts from back side on Wednesday on Khudian-Chunian Road near Brothers Sugar Mills.

A wagon packed with prisoners was on its way to Chunian from Kasur when the driver lost control over it due to over speeding as a result of which Imran, 13, died on the spot while his brothers Irfan and Bilal sustained serious injuries. Donkey cart rider Maqboola was killed and her husband Bashir sustained injuries. Safia, 21, and her father Nabi Bux, 65, on the other donkey cart were also killed.

Police have arrested the wagon driver.

The truck driver claimed that the accident took place due to failure of brakes.
