Afgan sees no cause of alarm

SARGODHA, Sept 6: Federal minister for parliamentary affairs Dr Sher Afgan says there is no similarity in the situation of East Pakistan and that of Balochistan.

“In 1971 people’s mandate was not honoured but now people of Balochistan have tasted freedom for the first time as they have been freed from the slavery of a cruel Sardar,” he said addressing a ceremony of unveiling plaque of Tariq Aziz road linking Sargodha and Salim motorway interchange on Wednesday.

Afgan said that those who formed parallel military besides purchasing arms from the India to set to fire important installations of Pakistan deserved capital punishment.

About the Hudood laws isuue, the minister said that some leaders exploiting religious sentiments had created misunderstandings amongst the people.
