Plane makes emergency landing

QUETTA, Sept 4: An Islamabad-bound PIA fight made an emergency landing at the Quetta airport on Monday evening due to some technical faults in the plane. The PIA fight PK-352 had taken off from the Quetta airport at its scheduled time for Islamabad, but after half an hour flying, the pilot felt some technical problems in the aircraft and informed the authorities concerned. The plane was flown back to Quetta.

PIA sources said the aircraft was carrying 118 passengers. Former ambassador to the US Begum Abida Hussain, former NA speaker Syed Fakhar Imam, his daughter Sadya Imam, former NA deputy speaker Syed Zafar Ali Shah and columnist Ayaz Amir were among the passengers.
