KARACHI, Sept 3: As many as 89 people were deprived of their cars, motorbikes or cellphones in various parts of the city here on Sunday.

Police said the bandits looted 32 vehicles – 19 cars and 13 motorbikes – besides 57 mobile phones.

Three cars were snatched at gunpoint and 16 others were stolen in various localities. Similarly, seven motorbikes were hijacked and six others were stolen.

Twenty-two people reported that they were deprived of their cellphones by bandits. Thirty-five others reported that their mobile phones had been stolen.
