Races postponed

Published September 3, 2006

LAHORE, Sept 2: The first Lahore Winter Meeting to be held on Sunday has been postponed for two days because of rains in the provincial metropolis since Friday.

A notification issued by the Lahore Race Club (LRC) on Saturday said that in view of the rains and waterlogged condition of the race track the LRC stewards have decided to postpone Sunday's races to Tuesday.

The LRC has already announced a six-event programme featuring the September Cup, a class IV division III handicap race to be gone over the sprinting distance of 1000 metres.
